The Missouri GOP doesn’t want to do anything to lessen urban crime. No, they want to highlight that crime is an urban (read: black) problem, that cities and Democrats are bad and the only answer is giving Republicans even more unchecked power to run the state the right way.
In August our guest speaker, Dr. Dave Robertson, Political Science Department at UMSL, suffered a medical emergency which caused us to cancel the August 10 meeting. He is recovering well and provided West County Democrats with a video of the presentation he would have made to the group during our meeting.

Mr. Jaco, a Missouri native, holds degrees from the University of Chicago and Columbia University, and has received numerous awards including three Peabody awards. He has been an overseas correspondent, a reporter and anchor on radio and television, having worked for WXRT, NBC, CNN, KMOX, KTVI, KTRS, and the St. Louis American. In his spare time he’s also written both fiction and nonfiction books. We’re fortunate that he returned to St. Louis and is available to share his political expertise with us.
