Voting for Common Sense

As we speak, there is a broad initiative by the Missouri Democratic Party to reach these areas, to communicate with these populations better and field great candidates for office across the state. Until that effort gets traction, (and until we can eliminate the corrupting influence of out-state money) we need to drive adoption of proposals that can appeal to all Missourians. There are a few on the ballot in November that should be common sense for any citizen of our state.

Paywall Censorship

The alt-right world thrives on free sites. Free from paywalls, free from reality. They proudly share their “news.” The fight for reality must be fought every day, every minute. Those of us trying to shine a light on truth get hobbled when objective information hides behind barriers. Yes, news is a business…All the ads cluttering even paywalled sites reinforces that fact. Organizations which can’t make money can’t report.

Clean Missouri

Missourians work hard and honestly to support our community and families.  Shouldn’t we expect the same from our elected officials?  Amendment 1 is a good first step to restoring integrity in our legislature.

Holding Open the Door

There ARE good people out there, eager to serve, who are both accessible and responsible; who know our country and state work best when we come together, not wedged apart; who have the character to represent us well.

Cosby and Judge

So, searching for truth has little value to Republicans. Or, they want to avoid showing us what they know, that Brett Kavanaugh has never been the quality of citizen who deserves to be a judge. Meanwhile, good news: Bill Cosby will get chocolate pudding in prison tomorrow.
