The candidates have stepped up, listened to voters and made their cases. Now it is our turn.
As we speak, there is a broad initiative by the Missouri Democratic Party to reach these areas, to communicate with these populations better and field great candidates for office across the state. Until that effort gets traction, (and until we can eliminate the corrupting influence of out-state money) we need to drive adoption of proposals that can appeal to all Missourians. There are a few on the ballot in November that should be common sense for any citizen of our state.
There ARE good people out there, eager to serve, who are both accessible and responsible; who know our country and state work best when we come together, not wedged apart; who have the character to represent us well.

These are regular folks, like you and I, who are standing up to corporate, big money-backed forces to change the status quo and restore Missouri to a state where the welfare of the people is the supreme law. If you are interested in flushing dark money corruption out of Jefferson City and helping drive reforms that benefit all Missourians, you should support these candidates and vote Democratic in the fall.
Of course, not every workers gets full-time hours and most don’t work at those few trend-setting employers. Too many workers – especially in Missouri – still earn the state’s minimum of $7.85 an hour. Worse, some folks over in Kansas still earn just the federal minimum wage of $7.25.
This November Missouri voters get to help themselves and their neighbors. Proposition B will raise the state’s minimum wage to $12.00 an hour by 2023.
