On January 30, 2017 Cheryl Hibbeler, Shelley Hoffman and Amanda Kelley (all committee women for the St. Charles County Democratic Central Committee) sponsored a meeting they called “The March Continues.” It was their interest and that of several other women who attended the Women’s March in Washington D.C. to not let the passion and power from that event subside. Subside, it did not. Here is Cheryl’s explanation of the unexpected outcome:
“Three women came home from the DC March and decided not to let the passion and momentum they gained stop – that there was need to connect with many of the other women who went to DC or marched in St Louis. With only one week’s notice the RSVP’s grew beyond our original venue which could only hold 50 people. It was moved to the St Charles County Administration Building in Downtown St Charles and there were 130 people in attendance .”
