Topic: Political Insights for 2021- Dr. Anita Manion is an Assistant Professor in Science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has an MBA and Master of Management from Fontbonne University and a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from Saint Louis University. Anita teaches courses in American politics, public policy, gender and politics, and the politics of poverty and welfare. Her research focuses on the impact of public policy on issues of economic inequality—particularly education policy. Anita is the political analyst for KSDK news, and provides political insight for a variety of media outlets in the region. She was the recipient of the 2019 Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and the 2020 Excellence in Civic Engagement Award.
Circle of Concern: Mission update by Cyndi Miller, Executive Director – The need is greater than ever for our support of Circle of Concern but due to the current pandemic situation we will not be able to hold our Annual Silent Auction. Cyndi will speak to us during our Zoom meeting to update us on their current services and the needs to sustain their mission. The Board encourages you to include this wonderful organization in your year-end charitable giving.
