We had a wonderful day in Faust Park on Monday. West County Democrats hosted a huge list of candidates and current office holders running in the primary election set for August 2nd and, hopefully, in the general election later in this year.
If you had any doubt that Democrats are energized and unified, these folks set you straight. While every one of these candidates differ in style, they all have the passion to end the divisiveness and awful governance that surrounds us. A key defining attribute of Democrats is their accessibility, willingness to listen and learn. The candidates who came to the WCD event showed how it’s done.

The official map of Missouri House districts has been redrawn and can be found here. However, because these political boundaries are freshly confusing, several of the State candidates presented maps of their state districts, a valuable contribution.
WCD gets routine questions about democratic candidates and initiatives, so this is a good place to mention our friends at the League of Women Voters have created an awesome new resource for voters called VOTE411. Check it out.
The Prosecuting Attorney of St. Louis County, Wesley Bell and the St. Louis County Assessor, Jake Zimmerman both made great presentations of the wonderful results they have achieved while in office. While their work is well know in our region, they exhibit another common attribute of Democratic candidates, competence and integrity.

All of the candidates who presented at the WCD meeting had a simple ask of us. Get involved. Yes, donations are good, but they need help getting their message out, helping to open this conversations.
