Women’s March on St. Louis on Jan. 21, 2017

The Women’s March on St. Louis march and rally will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from approximately 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown St. Louis. This march is in conjunction with the Women’s March on Washington, D.C., which will bring together women throughout the country to show unity in the fight for the rights of women and other marginalized groups. The march will begin at Union Station and proceed down Market Street, ending at Luther Ely Smith Park with a rally. Everyone supporting women’s rights is welcome to attend this free event.

We will start the march on the morning of January 21st at 9:00 am in front of Union Station on Market, near 18th Street. There is a metrolink stop behind Union Station. There is also paid parking available behind Union Station, or street parking available on Market and side streets. We will arrive by 8:30 to start gathering.

The march will proceed east on Market to 10th Street. We will turn south on 10th Street to walk in front of the Federal Courthouse. We will then turn east on Clark. For those that do not want to walk the full route, there is a metrolink stop at Busch Stadium that is about the halfway point. You could meet up with us there and march from that point.

We will continue down Clark to walk between Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. Then we will turn north on S. Broadway. We will march until we connect back to Market. We will then turn east on Market and end the march at Luther Ely Smith Square Park. If you do not wish to march, you can join us at the park for a rally starting about 10:00 am. The rally will feature several engaging and dynamic guest speakers that will talk about issues women face every day, and will continue to fight for under this new administration. The rally is expected to last 30-45 minutes.

  1. This is an important event coordinated nation-wide. From anyone who attends, I would love to see photos and first hand accounts of the march.
