Lobby Day with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America

I try, and I often fail, to avoid being political. Well, I am going to fail again. I belong to Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. We support the 2nd amendment and responsible gun ownership. We advocate for strengthening background checks and keeping guns out of the hands of children and dangerous people. We are evidence-based and non-partisan. We went to our capitol in Jefferson City on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, all 200 of us from many corners of the state, including Dexter, Warrensburg, Cape Girardeau, Springfield, Lee Summit, Poplar Bluff, KC, Columbia, St. Louis, etc. We talked to our legislators about common sense laws to keep our children and families safe (including my beloved granddaughters). Our #1 goal that day was to develop positive relationships with our representatives and let them know we are a friendly bunch, amenable to open dialog, caring only about creating safe
environments. We flooded the capitol in our red shirts. I am posting a photo of the way one legislator presented himself to our Moms. This is one of the men who filed a bill to allow hidden, loaded guns in bars, daycare centers, K-12, polling places, churches, college campuses, hospitals, etc.
