Rep. Peter Merideth represents St. Louis City (District 80) in the MO House of Representatives, elected to his first term in November 2016. As the ranking Democrat on the Budget and General Laws committees, he has led in the fights for Medicaid Expansion, for quality health care access for all Missourians, for quality public education, for a fair economy for all, for the rights of all to be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity, for a responsible budget that reflects our values, and against the right-wing agenda driving our state in Jefferson City.

Rep. Merideth was born and raised in the Shaw neighborhood in South St. Louis City, attending SLU High, then The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., then returning home to study law at Washington University.

He and his wife Amy live in South City with their three daughters. Peter also sings with a local Celtic folk group known as the Wee Heavies.

After Rep. Merideth’s “legislative session wrap-up”, Glenn Koenen will report to us about issues on the Federal level.

Please bring or wear a mask if doing so will make you more comfortable during our meeting.

West County Dems remains committed in the fight to alleviate food insecurity. Please continue to support Circle of Concern, either with monetary donations or by bringing non-perishable items to our meetings.
