SPEAKER: Dr. Anita Manion, Political Science Faculty
University of Missouri—St. Louis; Political Analyst
Dr. Manion’s research focuses on the impact of policy on issues of equity—particularly in the areas of education and elections. She is utilizing GIS in this work to better understand who is affected and how and to communicate that information to stakeholders. Dr. Manion is also involved in mapping donors to campaigns for St. Louis mayor candidates and for St. Louis County executive to see where donors are concentrated and to determine benefits that may result in those neighborhoods. She is also part of a study of executing actions enacted by governors that effected the 2020 elections.
WE WILL BE HONORING STATE SENATOR JILL SCHUPP (Democrat, District 24) for her outstanding 14 years of work in the Missouri Legislature.
