Join the Queeny-Lafayette and Missouri River Democrats on Thursday, February 27th at 7:30 pm for a meeting focused on ways to take action to defend American democracy and stand up for our rights. We will talk about how Republican actions at both the federal and state level are negatively impacting Missourians and share ideas for how to push back with both individual and organized group actions. We’ll share talking points to use when contacting elected officials to express concerns, update you on useful organizing tools, and offer information about how to get involved with progressive groups in our area who are fighting back at both the state and federal level.

Friday, February 28th
Economic Boycott
The People’s Union USA, a grassroots organization, has organized this one-day boycott. The idea is NOT to shop at any major retailers-either online or in brick-and-mortar stores-starting at 12:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28th. The People’s Union USA is targeting Amazon, Walmart, and any other “big box” stores or major retailers. Refrain from purchasing fast food or gas. If you must spend, ONLY support small, local businesses.
Other planned boycotts are in the works. Let’s not fund the oligarchs.
